Will we ever get home?

IMG-20150315-WA0005Complete chaos is the only way to describe our adventure at the Austin airport on the day we left Texas for Kalamazoo.  From an early morning to racing down the airport to catch the plane. It was all very thrilling and entertaining. Through all of the chaos we all still managed to have a good time.

Like Austin’s streets, the airport was no exception to the amount of people packed into spaces. The traffic started to become very hectic as the start of SXSW was approaching. I was surprised at how energetic everyone is at 5 in the morning.  But When SXSW is going on, you have to keep the energy high.

The morning started out early like always, but when we got to the airport, that is when the fun began.  Our group almost had to reschedule our flight time.  After we got all that madness sorted out, we had to book it (i.e. run) to our gate. It was a great feeling knowing that we made it even though I was very leery that we would.

In all the excitement, only some of our group’s luggage ended up being transported to the Kalamazoo airport at the time we needed it there. But fret not, it has arrived now and is in safe care.

The view over Austin was absolutely breathtaking. I could not stop staring out the window at all of the lights that make up the city. The flight was very painless and surprisingly fun.

Our last day was definitely a bonding experience for our group. We all had to be patient and learn to not react to the other classmates when they are exhausted. Despite all the problems we faced trying to get home, I really enjoyed my last day with my classmates.
